Candy Darling first appeared in a Factory film in the summer of 1968 (Flesh directed by Paul Morrissey) and was one of several drag figures that included Jackie Curtis, Holly Woodlawn, and Mario Montez. Candy also performed in Women in Revolt (Morrisey) and onstage in Tennessee Williams's Small Craft Warnings.
