(a.k.a. Robert Olivo, born Queens June 16, 1937—April 28, 1989)

Ondine came to the Factory via Billy Name in 1963 and was a central figure there for the next four years. His nickname, Pope Ondine, reflects his stature, and he became best-known for his segment in The Chelsea Girls. He also performed in Couch, Vinyl, and The Loves of Ondine, as well as onstage with the Play-House of the Ridiculous.
