Edie Sedgwick was the Superstar of 1965, and she brought wide attention to the Factory. Her combination of vulnerability, social glamour, and beauty made her an ideal subject for several Factory films, including Vinyl, Beauty #2, Lupe. The book about her life, Edie, became a touchstone for those who wanted to understand the Sixties.
