Vaccaro in Shower

In July 1965 John Vaccaro directed two former Factory movie scenarios by Ronald Tavel, Shower and The Life of Juanita Castro. These outrageous stage works led to the Play-House of the Riduculous a year later. Initially Tavel was the playwright and Vaccaro was the director, and Vaccaro continued in this role after Tavel left in 1967, directing plays by Jackie Curtis, Charles Ludlam, and others.
