Mary Woronov came to Factory from Cornell University, via Gerard Malanga, in late 1965. She danced in the Exploding Plastic Inevitable (the Velvet Underground + slides + dancers) in the spring and summer of 1966 and performed in The Chelsea Girls, a Screen Test, Hedy and other films. She performed with the Play-House of the Ridiculous and later wrote several books, including Swimming Underground, a memoir of the Factory years.
